What is a sound portrait? A unique opportunity to represent you and your family through sound, using instruments you choose from our collection of drums, percussion accessories, and sound effects from around the world. No musical experience necessary. We'll provide all the instruments and any instructions needed to produce sound. Free and open to the public as part of City of Austin's Museum Day. Bring the family to enjoy a day in the park and to explore the meaning and process of portraiture.
Outdoor Family Fun Drum Together

Celebrate the lovely autumn weather by playing drums, moving to the rhythms from around the world, and having a great time with family and loved ones. Don’t miss out on this fun and memorable music experience with your family! Open to the public---walk-ins welcome! There will be several 20-minute sessions throughout the duration of the event. Come anytime between 10:30 and 12:30, ready to have fun with your family! No prior music experience necessary, and all instruments will be provided by Artly World Nonprofit. Suitable for all ages.
